A standout amongst the most wonderful Ancient Mayan Temples, Chichen Itza is a complex of Mayan ruins on Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. It is kept up by the National Institute of Anthropology and History, Mexico. Chichen Itza is one of the biggest Maya urban communities with various designs of Maya ruins. The Maya name "Chichen Itza" signifies "At the mouth of the well of the Itza." Itza is the name of an ethnic-ancestry assemble that increased political and financial strength of the northern landmass. Chichen Itza is a standout amongst the most visited archeological destinations in Mexico with more than 2.6 million visitors visiting each year. The site contains many fine stone structures, for example, El Castillo, Temple of Warriors and the Great Ball Court and so on. A significant number of these stone structures were initially painted in red, green, blue and purple hues making the site a beautiful place. Chichen Itza was likewise assigned as the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988 and it is the second-most visited archeological site in Mexico. In 2007, Chichen Itza's El Castillo was named as one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
